One year after his first attempt, which was interrupted due to unforeseen personal difficulties, Omar is ready to give it another shot. Antarctica Unlimited remains the longest solo bicycle traverse of Antarctica, with no external support except for the possibility of resupplying at the permanent base at the South Pole.
The journey will commence from the Hercules Inlet coast and will cover over 1500 km. The primary goal is to reach the South Pole and then continue along the Leverett Glacier, ultimately returning to the South Pole, all on two wheels. The departure is scheduled for the first half of November.
