The numbers which concern food waste in the world are FRIGHTENING!
The Polytechnic University in Milan has estimated that every year 5,1 milion tons of food are wasted.
This fact is still more serious if we consider that numerous people have to face continued difficulties to follow a correct nutrition. In this regard,suffice it to say that, according to Istat , there are 5 million people that suffer from "food poverty" up to now in Italy and they can't eat a complete meal from the protein point of view at least every two days.
And without taking into consideration the even more serious situations of some countries of the so-called Third World.
Analyzing these facts, the food waste that is present nowadays becomes unbearable and it is duty of each of us to take charge of this problem trying to reduce waste as much as possible.
