Fat used in our products are only of vegetable, non-hydrogenated. Also correspond to the dietary guidelines (VNR - RDA) of the major international organizations (WHO / FAO / EFSA) that recommend a balanced intake of saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. These are provided respectively by the natural oils of coconut, olive oil, corn, in a balanced blend easily to digest.
The opinion of some that only unsaturated fats do well or should be present in dietary foods not only does not have any scientific evidence but it is also dangerous because it ignores the risks associated with increased oxidizability of unsaturated fats. The current European legislation (Regulation 1169/2011) recommend a varied diet in the composition of fats and in particular the presence among them of a 28.6% saturated fat. Milk fat, for example, are formed for 65% of saturated fat.
Of course you can also take supplements containing only or predominantly unsaturated fats such as polyunsaturated fatty acids long-chain omega-3, but not exclusively or primarily as a source of fat.
Extra virgin olive oil in Volchem products is a great choice between unsaturated fats because, even if it contains more saturated fat of sunflower oil, has a lower oxidizability.
Finally some people confuse vegetable saturated fats with hydrogenated fats or coconut oil with palm oil or palmitic acid, all absent in Volchem products.
