We are happy to announce that we renewed the ISO 2000 certification.
ISO 22000:2005 Certification
On October, the annual inspection for the ISO 22000:2005 certification took place. At Volchem, we have been adhering to this standard for several years now (2010).
What is it about?
It is a certification provided by an independent third party that verifies and certifies whether the company follows all the procedures correctly both in terms of work safety, as well as during other phases, from the formulation to the production of food supplements, ensuring high quality standards. During the inspection, which usually lasts one or two days, random checks are performed to verify the different steps, from the storage of raw materials to any potential management of non-compliance.
What is the ISO 22000 certification?
ISO 22000 is a quality certification that guarantees food product safety.
It is specifically an international standard that establishes guidelines for food safety and hygiene by combining various parameters that are deemed essential to ensure the safety and hygiene of the entire supply chain, specifically from the arrival of the raw materials to the shipment of the finished product.
Why do we do it?
It may seem like a strange question, but it should be noted that ISO 22000 certification is not mandatory and it forces us to have a yearly company inspection, in addition to routine inspections that can take place over the course of the year.
At Volchem, however, we decided as early as 2010 to undergo this further monitoring of our entire supply chain to be able to guarantee our customers the highest standards in terms of quality for our food supplements. This inspection allows us to refine procedures, improving them where necessary, in order to offer quality supplements that meet our customers' expectations.
This certification is in addition to the authorisation of the Ministry of Health for the production of food supplements (authorisation No. 2006/off. 165/78).
